Spider Songs for a Second Childhood is a  collection of poetry inspired by photographs of spiders that captures their riveting, sometimes sinister, but always interesting qualities  (and the corresponding patient and "predatory" qualities in readers).  Photographs, unedited in terms of color, were all taken in northern Florida and accompany each poem. The verses hope to capture the  unexpected beauty and the surprising universality of the small, overlooked and often avoided.
